Ripple has unveiled Ripple Mint, a dedicated platform designed to give institutions streamlined access to its US dollar-pegged stablecoin, Ripple USD (RLUSD), enabling them to mint, redeem, and manage the token through a web interface or direct API integrations.

What Ripple Mint Does

Announced on Thursday, Ripple Mint is described as a unified platform built to support both manual operations and automated workflows. According to Ripple, the tool is aimed at institutions adopting stablecoins for payments, trading, and treasury activities.

‘Ripple Mint is built to give institutions flexible access to digital dollars through the workflows that fit their needs,’ Ripple stated on X, emphasising the platform’s dual support for hands-on management and programmatic integration.

RLUSD Market Cap Context

RLUSD launched in December 2024 with an institutional focus, though it has since attracted retail users as well. The token climbed into the top 10 USD-pegged stablecoins by market capitalisation in less than one year after launch.

RLUSD reached its all-time high market cap on June 1, 2026, surpassing $1.8 billion, according to CoinGecko. Around the Ripple Mint launch, its market cap briefly rose from approximately $1.54 billion to $1.64 billion before settling near $1.59 billion, leaving it below its peak and ranked as the ninth-largest USD-pegged stablecoin at the time of publication.

Institutional Stablecoin Infrastructure Push

The Mint platform adds to the infrastructure Ripple offers institutions managing digital dollars, providing both a graphical web interface for manual control and API access for automated pipelines. The launch comes as enterprise stablecoin adoption continues to expand across payments and treasury use cases.

⚖️ Our Verdict 📈 Bullish Signal

Dedicated institutional infrastructure for RLUSD signals Ripple is continuing to invest in enterprise stablecoin adoption. The catch: this is a mint-and-redeem tooling layer rather than a new product or partnership, and RLUSD currently sits near $1.59 billion, below its $1.8 billion June peak and ninth among USD stablecoins, well behind the market leaders. A helpful convenience for existing institutional users more than a growth catalyst.
